River

かわ (kawa) is the Kun-yomi of 川. The On-yomi is せん (sen).

かわぎし (Ka wa gi shi) (川岸) Riverbank	かわあそび (Ka wa a so bi) (川遊び) Playing in the river	アマゾンがわ (A ma zo n ga wa) (アマゾン川) Amazon River

アマゾンがわはとてもひろいです。
(アマゾン川はとても広いです。)
(Amazon gawa ha totemo hiroi desu.)
The Amazon River is very wide.

かわのちかくであそびましょう。
(川の近くで遊びましょう。)
(Kawa no chikaku de asobimashou.)
Let’s play near the river.
