Part 3 of i-adjectives series:
Let’s check the adjectives in the video.
1. いい / よい (ii / yoi) – Good / Okay / Nice
Example:
たなかさんはいいひとです。
(田中さんはいい人です。)
(Mr. Tanaka is a nice
person.)
2. わるい (warui) – Bad / Not
good / Wicked
Example:
それはわるいです。
(それは悪いです。)
(That is bad. )
3. やさしい (yasashii) – Kind /
Gentle / Friendly
Example:
アキラさんのかのじょはやさしいです。
(アキラさんの彼女は優しいです。)
(Akira’s girlfriend is kind.
)
4. あぶない (abunai) –
Dangerous
Example:
あぶないなばしょです。
(危ないな場所です。)
(It’s a dangerous place)
5. いたい (itai) – Painful
Example:
こころはいたいです。
(心が痛いです。)
(My heart hurts.)
6. いそがしい (isogashii) – Busy
Example:
すみません、きょうはわたしがいそがしいです。
(すみません、今日は私が忙しいです。)
(I’m sorry, I’m busy today)
7. ただしい (tadashii) –
Correct / Right
Example:
あかしんごうでとまるのはただしいことです。
(赤信号で止まるのは正しいことです。)
(It is correct to stop at a red light.)
8. むずかしい (muzukashii) –
Difficult
Example:
すうがくはむずかしいかもくです。
(数学は難しい科目です。)
(Math is a difficult
subject.)
9. あかるい (akarui) – Light
Example:
かのじょはとてもあかるいです。
(彼女はとても明るいです。)
(She is very cheerful.)
10. くらい (kurai) – Dark
Example:
とてもくらいです。
(とても暗いです。)
(It’s so dark)
